The role of Treasurer is to ensure that the club will operate the bank account, pay bills promptly and maintain the set of accounts.
The Treasurer maintains the books, a time consuming job as many members pay by monthly standing order and each transaction must be recorded, however the use of appropriate software makes this easier. He also prepares financial statements for the quarterly committee meetings and for the AGM.
